Hotmail was founded by Sabeer Bhatia and Jack Smith. It was commercially launched on July 4 1996. Hotmail was one of the First webmail service along with Yahoo mail. Hotmail was sold to Microsoft in December 1997 for reportedly $400 million, from there it became MSN Hotmail. Microsoft has used ‘MSN‘ as its brand name for different products and services .It is the most famous web based email service in the world.
Currently MSN Hotmail is known as Outlook.com however people still refer to it as Hotmail because ‘@hotmail.com’ email addresses are still active for people. Currently Hotmail/Outlook is offering many features besides email like Skype, OneDrive, Sync with Microsoft Office and many more.

To Make new account just click on the option ‘Create One’. A form will open which needs to be filled with basic personal information and press ‘Create Account’ option to finish sign up.
From Mobile Phone/Tablet
Hotmail/Outlook has Applications available for both Android and iOS users on their respective app stores. Download the app and just enter e-mail address and password to Sign-in the account.
Multiple accounts can also be managed by same mobile app. Just need to press the option ‘Add another Account’ and add email address or phone number and enter password and simultaneously manage different accounts.
Desktop or Laptop Users
Logging out is very simple from Hotmail/Outlook account on a desktop or laptop. On the main desktop site home page, you can log out by Clicking the Name option (First Name of User) on the right top corner, a dropdown option will show ‘Sign Out’ option from where Hotmail/Outlook account can be logged out.
Mobile Phone or Tablet Users
Logging out from Mobile app is a bit different from website log out. In Right top corner ‘Setting Icon’ will open options. Click on the email address you want to sign out (if multiple accounts), Delete Account option will appear. Press option to delete account from mobile app.
Hotmail/Outlook is most friendly user and has minimum sign in problems. Most login/sign in problems faced by account holders of Hotmail/Outlook are due to typing errors or user forget to suffix @Hotmail/Outlook.com.

On the next page give in your email address for which password is to be recovered and proceed ‘Next’ to retrieve your password.
If email address which was kept as Username is forgotten then Mobile number can also be used as Username (if mobile number is connected to your account). Skype id can also be used instead of Hotmail/Outlook username.
Another key feature of Hotmail/Outlook is its application which is available for both Android and iOS. On both the stores it is available free of cost with the name ‘Microsoft Outlook’. Even if Hotmail is written in search box of app stores it will redirect it to Microsoft Outlook app. Press ‘Install’ option to download/install Outlook on your mobile phone/Tablet. After installation is complete, multiple accounts can be managed through same app.
